In summer in 2013 I’ve been to South Korea this country impressed me so much and developed my vision and direction of movement into the future.
Today, when my native land Crimea occupied by Russia and it is in the definite process of transformation into "North Korea" and in deep love with "Kim Jong-Putin". Not everyone but in average it is true. Why is it so?! We have already know from the deep roots of Ukrainian history. And Ukraine in somewhere in between into this equilibrium, but not yet South Korea.
In respect of my Korean friends. South Korea's story is the story of how to make recover and even prosper not because of but in contrast to total destruction. Some people may argue that they will not have succeeded without US. It is true that US investment in Korea were the biggest in comparison to after WWII but we should respect Koreans movement from 0 to 1, iteration by iteration from swamp and destruction to innovation driven economy.
Well, I will not say something extra unique but Ukraine need real reindustrialization and value added based economy in contrast to agricultural economy. I tolerate and respect this kind of work but the thing is that you cannot survive today only on agriculture. Irony that famine occurs in countries who focus basically on agriculture. Ukraine exist but it is economy doesn't. Ukrainian outsourcing is worthwhile but in comparison to India's outsourcing machine it is nothing. Probably, this not our way, being a country of minor business outsourcing services.
This year on CES in Las Vegas 5 Ukrainian start ups presented their ideas (just in case France 190), this is there we should be. To cultivate our Samsung, Doosan, Hynix... Iteration by iteration, by fundamental and applied research, by creativity and freedom-mindedness on the way to global economy. Like Astronaut Mark Watney escaped from Mars to the Earth.
